Hukseflux' heat flux sensors can be used in industrial measurement and control systems. Examples of applications are analysis of aluminium reduction cells, detection fouling in boilers (Boiler Slagging / Fouling Sensor), finetuning of ovens (Baking Sensor), monitoring of blast furnaces (Blast Furnace Safety System / General Furnace Monitoring), flame monitoring and composites processing. In building Physics, the investigation of the insulation capabilities of building materials is an important subject of study. Hukseflux is the present market leader in heat flux measurement related to building physics. The most commonly used sensor is type HFP01. Apart from laboratory studies of the thermal properties of the materials, their behavior is also studied in field experiments, to gain information on the behavior in different climates. Important parameters are temperature (inside versus outside, wind, solar radiation, rain, snow etc.).

Take a look at our solar concentrator products
Hukseflux supplies a category of special sensors for measurement of heat flux in boilers of solar concentrators. In these systems sunlight is concentrated by hundreds of mirrors on a receiver / boiler that converts water into steam. The steam powers a turbine for the generation of electricity. Our sensors are mounted in the boiler system to monitor the building of heat. These sensors are not part of the standard delivery program, and not listed in the products listing.

Hukseflux is the present market leader in the design of needle type thermal conductivity sensors. The main application of these sensors is in measurement of soil thermal conductivity and resistivity.
There are two product categories: The first consists of scientific systems (needle types TP02 and TP08, with system type TPSYS02). The second category is systems designed for robustness rather than accuracy, with systems FTN01, MTN01 and TNS01.
